I
do not yet know your name, nor do I know anything about you but I suppose that
is the point of these letters.
I
will begin by explaining myself to you.
My name is Arlima, I look like I’m eighteen years of age but I am
actually as old as this universe . . . I’ve lost count of exactly how many
years that is. I am tall; I have
long wavy blonde hair and golden blue eyes. I have been to all the corners of the world and have lived
everywhere, both here (on Earth) and beyond. I have yet to find a place I actually enjoy staying, even my
original home isn’t such a great place for me to stay. Human beings love my home but I suppose
they have a good reason to.
I
love humans, by the way, I do not know if you are one but I assume you
are. Any man, woman, or child of
the species Homo sapiens, distinguished from other animals by superior mental
development, power of articulate speech, and upright stance are just
fascinating to me. I had a
brother once who didn’t believe that humans should be kept alive . . . needless
to say, we sent him away by force.
I have many brothers and sisters, so many family members make it very
hard to get along but we try.
I
am a soldier. I follow orders from
the higher power when they are given and never question them but lately trouble
has aroused and I – I may have
gotten into some trouble, justified trouble, mind you, but still trouble.
That is all I shall say about me at this moment but what about you? What is your name, what do you look like? Do you have any moral dilemmas that humans so often have (and I love to hear about)? What is your job, if you have one? Where do you live? Anything else you can think of telling me that will help me to know you better will be greatly appreciated.
- Arlima
