Avery Carter -

No, you cannot assume that I am a “good angel” as not every angel is a “good” one.  I do, however, consider myself “good” in the sense that I haven’t Fallen. Do you remember when I told you about my brother, Lucifer was his name, who believed that humans should not be kept alive and that we sent him away by force?  He was what you might call a bad angel, I’m sure you know who he is, though I believe some call him by a different name.  He is the king, so to speak, of Fallen angels.
Why haven’t you been able to see more of your home?  Is it the same reason you have to, what did you call it, lie low? Was this roommate of yours a very close friend that you could confide with and share moral dilemmas?  I friend like that is important. Do your parents not trust you because you’ve done something to make them lose the confidence that most parents have in their children?
You are my Fathers creation! He watched you grow from the very beginning to what you are now; you are amazing creatures.  Of course he loves you more than angels! He created angels too but we are very different.
Yes, Avery Carter, my home is the Heaven.  But, I’ve lived in Heaven all of my existence and the Heaven I go to is different from where Man goes.  When I am summoned to Heaven it’s always to have meetings or draw up plans, I am not in paradise.  So, it’s not that it isn’t safe it is just that . . . I am tired of it.
So you are a spy? Very interesting, I can see how that could cause many moral dilemmas.  I believe you, Avery Carter, if course I do.  There is good in all Men, no matter what they have done in the past.  Though I would like to know what wrongs you must right.  Who or what mislead you? You are so young to have been though so much but I assure you I will not fail you.  There really isn’t anyone I can tell, unless you count Celsabourne . . . but I haven’t gotten to see him as much as I would like.
Sometime I wish I were human because having all of this power is sometimes too much.  It isn’t really glorious at all.  I was created a soldier of God, I defend Mankind and now due to the justified trouble I got into I am now a protector of an eight-year-old girl.  I feel pain and hurt only in a emotional way, not a physical way (as I can’t be killed or wounded). It is a rare feeling and it only happens when a traumatic event occurs, like something that humans wouldn’t really be able to fully recover from.
Tell me something, Avery Carter, do your parents know of your job?  Also, how did you get to be a spy?

Dear Arlima,

Well, it seems like you have given me reason enough to trust you.  I hope you are a good Angel, but I guess I can assume that....
Yes, I love my home, but I have not gotten the chance to see more of Europe, but maybe someday.  And well, about being an only child, I do not enjoy it.  You see, I used to attend a boarding school and I really loved being there with all of my close friends.  I miss my roommate so much! I haven’t seen her in over a year now since I left the boarding school.  I’ve had to lie low since so it’s hard to reunite with any of my friends there.  But no, I don’t like being an only child because I feel like I am constantly being watched.  My parents don’t trust me.
Why do you believe that your father loves humans more than you?
Is your home the Heaven that everyone fantasizes? I’m sure it would be wonderful to live in a place like that.  Why don’t you understand it human’s fascination?
Arlima, why do you sometimes wish you were an human? Isn’t being an angel glorious?  Do you have pain and hurt like we have on earth?  How were you born a soldier and who do you defend?
Well, trusting me is a dangerous thing Arlima.  I have taken a step to trust you, I have told you more about myself than I have ever told anyone else because for some reason I feel like I can trust you, but for you to trust me you will have to just believe that I am good like I say I am.  I never intended to do bad things although I know part of my life I was a little mislead but that time is over.  I am determined to fix the things I have done or atleast make it up to those I have wronged.  I have given up my life to fix those things.
Well, Arlima, I am a spy for the king of my great country Sylvia and that is why I must be so secretive.  I have never told anyone that, so please know I am putting a lot of trust in you.  Don’t fail me.  I have only fived on earth for 15 years... no more and no less.
Why is your home no longer safe?

Avery Carter -

One of my most favorite places on Earth is Europe, everything is so green a beautiful.  I’ve been to Europe many times, my brother Celsabourne (who also happens to be my lieutenant) goes there often, mostly to Ireland.
Do you like being an only child?  I myself have never experienced such a thing and I know I never will.  I’m sure it is a peaceful life.  I do indeed have many siblings but only one parent, my Father loves us all but to tell you the truth, I believe he loves humans more.  Which is good for you; you do not want my Father angry with you.
Humans love my home because to them it is heaven! For some reason they love it, I still do not understand myself.
No, Avery Carter, I am not human . . . though sometime I do wish I were.  I was born a solider; in fact I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t defending someone or something.  I would tell you about my justified trouble but how do I  know I can trust you?
What is your occupation, Avery Carter?  Why must you be so secretive?  Also, how long have you lived on Earth?

I will give you one simple reason you can trust me and if it isn’t enough for you, I don’t know what could be.

I am an angel of the Lord.

Good Day Arlima,

My name is Avery Carter.  I’m fifteen years old and I live in Sylvia a beautiful, small country in Europe.  I’m tall with long and straight brown hair.  Um, something else you should probably know about me is I’m an only child.  My parents are nice.  I’m not sure what else you want to know...
Interesting, why do humans like your home but you don’t?  ... actually the better question is, you talk about humans as if they are something foreign to you, why?  Are you not human? How come you have so many siblings?  That definitely isn’t normal among humans; some people don’t like their own children enough to keep them.
Why are you a soldier?  Are you fighting in a war?  How have you gotten into ‘justified trouble’?  I never get in trouble because in my life that’s much too dangerous.
Um, to answer your questions, Yes, I have moral dilemmas.  I don’t understand why you like them so much because they are terrible, but I how do I know that I can trust you enough to tell you about them?  I have to be very careful about things like that.  I have a job yes, and I loved what I did, but I’m not so sure about my new job.
I’m sorry for my vagueness because it sounded like you were sincere in your letter, but I can’t just trust anyone.  You have to give me a reason to trust you with my secrets.  And Yes, most everything about my life is secret.

To whom it may concern,

I do not yet know your name, nor do I know anything about you but I suppose that is the point of these letters.
I will begin by explaining myself to you.  My name is Arlima, I look like I’m eighteen years of age but I am actually as old as this universe . . . I’ve lost count of exactly how many years that is.  I am tall; I have long wavy blonde hair and golden blue eyes.  I have been to all the corners of the world and have lived everywhere, both here (on Earth) and beyond.  I have yet to find a place I actually enjoy staying, even my original home isn’t such a great place for me to stay.  Human beings love my home but I suppose they have a good reason to.
I love humans, by the way, I do not know if you are one but I assume you are.  Any man, woman, or child of the species Homo sapiens, distinguished from other animals by superior mental development, power of articulate speech, and upright stance are just fascinating to me.   I had a brother once who didn’t believe that humans should be kept alive . . . needless to say, we sent him away by force.  I have many brothers and sisters, so many family members make it very hard to get along but we try.
I am a soldier.  I follow orders from the higher power when they are given and never question them but lately trouble has aroused and I I may have gotten into some trouble, justified trouble, mind you, but still trouble.

That is all I shall say about me at this moment but what about you? What is your name, what do you look like?  Do you have any moral dilemmas that humans so often have (and I love to hear about)?  What is your job, if you have one?  Where do you live?  Anything else you can think of telling me that will help me to know you better will be greatly appreciated
